- Praziquantel affects taenias fixing the host tissue damage causing paralysis espástica.También the integument and as a result increases the permeability of the membrane to certain cations. The taenias are destroyed in situ.
- Oxfendazole destroys Parascaris equorum resistant to Abamectin by inhibiting tubulin synthesis in the parasite turn cause starvation.

The booster dose should be administered every 6-8 weeks in young horses and those susceptible horses.
When good control measures are used to reduce reinfestation, mature horses only require three to four treatments per year.
Baymec Pasta Plus contains Abamectina, a member of the group of macrocyclic lactones Family Avermectin / Milbemycin; Praziquatel cestocidal a highly effective specific compound, and Oxfendazole, a member of the family of benzimidazoles. Baymec Plus Pasta is effective against all pests susceptible to these two families.
However, resistance can develop with any anthelmintic. It is recommended that the stress tests are regularly conducted by using any deworming.
METHODS FOR CONTROL OF PARASITES IN HORSES:
• deworm regularly.
• Always deworm new horses to introduce and cuarentene for at least 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) before introducing horses to the paddock with other horses.
• Treat all horses before mobilize a new group.
• treat all horses grazing at the same time.
• Pick up feces regularly once a week, preferably twice a week (this is practical in small paddocks).
• Perform rotational grazing horses with sheep and / or cattle. This helps reduce the larvae of worms in the grass / egg populations of all parasites of horses. Use food containers or cribs, avoid giving food on the floor.
• Regularly remove fly eggs, horse hair.
HOW OFTEN you SHOULD worming your horse?
• It depends on many factors such as the number of horses grazing together, the number of paddocks where horses are grazed, size of pasture and whether control measures (mentioned above) are used.
• For individualized recommendation proper deworming schedule, see your veterinarian.
• the resistance to a dewormer or anthelmintic may develop in any species of worms that infect horses. Consult your veterinarian to test the effectiveness of your deworming if necessary.
